Asia-Pacific Poker Tour Kicks Off in August – Situs Judi Online
PokerStars, the world’s largest online poker site, recently announced the launch of Asia Pacific’s first poker tour, the PokerStars APPT. Covering the region from Korea to Australia, the tour promises to bring world-class Situs Judi Online poker action to some very beautiful and exotic destinations and luxurious casinos.

The tour launch event will be held from August 23 to 26 at the five-star Hyatt Hotel and Casino, Manila in the Philippines. The second event is scheduled for the September 27 to 30 at the Sheraton Walkerhill Hotel and Casino in Seoul, South Korea. These are the first major televised tournaments in either of these countries. Another three events are expected for 2007 which will be announced later in the year.
The Grand Final takes place in December at Situs Judi Online the StarCity Casino in Sydney, Australia. At AUD6,300 buy-in, this event will be held in the poker room overlooking the city’s world famous Sydney Harbor Bridge.
The main events will all feature No Limit Hold’Em while side events, Sit & Go tournaments or cash games would also include Stud or Omaha. Entrants will have to sign a TV release form. The APPT Seoul event, however, is closed to Korean nationals by order of the South Korean government. The only exemptions apply to Korean nationals who are landed permanent residents of other countries and have documented proof of the same.
PokerStars-sponsored players are required to wear the PokerStars logo gear throughout the tournament.
Overseeing APPT tournaments will be the region’s most prominent tournament director, Danny McDonagh, who also directed the Aussie Millions, which has earned the reputation of being one of the world’s best run and most successful tournaments.
